Clemson Elementary Program
Clemson Elementary program continues with another session and this time all the students worked together to build their own city. First we talked about what makes up a community, such as schools, homes, libraries, restaurants, stores, and hospitals. And then we divided up into groups that would each work with those different parts of the city. They really enjoyed making their own individual buildings that would become part of something larger. When they all got done then we put all the parts together and made their city. They organized it themselves, with a little bit of help from us, and planned where things would go and why certain things would be in close proximity to other things. They really have enjoyed participating in this program with us and we have really enjoyed it as well. This week was the last of our 3 part series for this, but hopefully the kids enjoyed it and learned a lot from it, and they all look forward to seeing the project at Jaycee Park.
